Pros

- Good benefits compared to other banks (3 weeks vacation for 1st year at Associate-level or higher, 4 weeks per year thereafter, VPs and above get 5 weeks per year) - Solid, stable bank that has weathered the financial crisis well

Cons

- Some morale issues, depending on the department (some depts have experienced more turnover/restructuring than others) - Technology is generally subpar here compared to other banks - Although salary and bonus can be OK for some, it is under-market for many; new, unproven employees hired from the street can be earning more than experienced, tenured employees who already know the business) - Politics can be especially heavy here, depending on the department and the local manager. Management seems to place a high focus on visibility instead of overall contribution. For example, someone who stays until 7pm every day BSing most of the day and then beginning to work hard in the afternoon will be viewed more favorably than someone who comes early, leaves early but works hard the whole day. - Uneven standards for performance evaluations and promotions depending on the department and local manager.
