Pros
- I’ve worked at Betterment a while and I still feel lucky to be part of such a great team of talented, smart, genuinely kind people and the strong community culture that has grown with the company. - Team is very connected to the mission here and that is felt throughout the organization, not just in the c-suite. There’s a sense of shared purpose and pride that really is unique. - Inclusion and belonging has been a big focus for the entire company since I started working here. There is a wide range of efforts constantly going on and a lot of transparency and engagement with the broader team on D, E, I. We’ve seen some of this good work pay off in places quicker than in others, but I know we’re headed in the right direction. - Awesome family benefits like unlimited IVF and generous parental leave policy, unlimited PTO and flexibility on wfh and schedule. Generous perks like tons of food including chef catered meals, gym reimbursement, lots of opportunities to socialize with co-workers and friends/family always welcome. - Lots of growth opportunities - I’ve seen so many of my co-workers make strides in their careers while here. Well built out L&D program.
Cons
- Like in any growing company, there is never a dull day which is exciting and challenging, and sometimes exhausting as well. This is not a place for people who want to coast - you need to constantly be moving the ball forward. Some people thrive in this environment while others burn out or can get into negative head spaces.
