Pros
Arup values work-life balance and there seems to be a lot of trust to work from home if necessary, as well as flexibility with hours. The people make Arup a pleasant place to work, and there are never any silly questions. I have had the chance to work on some very interesting projects.
Cons
I am an FTC and there was promises all year of the role becoming permanent, it feels a little as if they have strung me along for the year, to keep me sweet and stop me from taking up other opportunities. The pay here is considerably low, and pay rises very minimal. Arup may lose talent due to competitors paying significantly more. I was very disappointed to find out my contract wasn't being renewed, as Business Services alluded to growing the team, of which they will do, but with someone who is 3-4 grades above me.
