Cons
Highly political and toxic culture throughout Arup but especially in this team. You are constantly in timesheet hell and blamed for having an empty timesheet. No accountability from leadership that they are responsible for not winning any work. They don’t have the skills, poor bid quality etc. Socio economic diversity is the elephant in the room. Bullying and bullying behaviour is very common in this company, especially from the top down. Junior get blamed when things go wrong on projects. People who are supposed to be providing support will outlie lie to cover themselves and pass some blame down the chain. I sense a culture of fear at the higher levels in this company. Sexist and incompetent management who are not highly thought of throughout Arup. High turnover of staff at all levels due to toxic management in this team The culture at Arup is very strange. It’s full of people who have never worked anywhere else and it shows in their mindset. They think Arup is better than other places, its not. The plentiful ego isn’t justified but they don’t know this as they have no perspective.
