Pros
Having the name of a large company on your resume.
Cons
There are many promises and marketing campaigns to attract candidates, but upon joining the company, you discover that the HR structure, resources, and team in Portugal are like those of a startup. Few career progression opportunities, below-average salaries for the IT market, lots of bureaucracy, and little opportunity for innovation. The company claims to work based on scientific principles, but in day-to-day operations, the "Your manager is always right" culture prevails, even if you scientifically prove them wrong. If you are an immigrant, make sure that all the benefits you are entitled to are explicitly stipulated in your contract; otherwise, you will not be able to claim them later. Be very careful with the clause regarding flexible working hours. The company is American and has a strategy of "outsourcing" the monitoring of teams based in India through Portugal. This means that even if your work is 100% remote, you will be subject to unhealthy and grueling working hours, having to attend meetings in the morning with the Indian team and late at night with the American team, often to explain something you didn't even do, and you will not receive any extra compensation. The level of maturity in terms of digital projects is very low, and the daily work is chaotic. If you work in the IT field, consider whether this is worthwhile for your career. Although it is not a direct outsourcing contract, your day-to-day work at this company will be similar to that of an outsourced worker in Portugal.
