Pros
Not many, a check every two weeks, medical benefits, average to less than average salaries.
Cons
Horrible mgrs, their mantra is to eliminate all overtime for non-exempt employees; hired at below market rate pay; Abbott eliminated bonus (except for mgrs, imagine that) and the pension plan, across the board, as well as making the vesting on 401k funds 5 years! It is certain managers do not have these restrictions, and get nice bonuses for "lowering costs" at the expense of employee benefits and loyalty. I've had no experience with SJM before Abbott, but this is one of the worst corporate experiences I have had. I am working on an exit strategy every day, and so are many others.
