Pros
Helped pay the bills and worked on some interesting projects. Met some good clients and travelled around the country a bit.
Cons
Endless list of cons. Major gripe was seeing technically incompetent individuals sucking information out of smart people and being promoted on the basis of their stolen knowledge. Then these parasites would become group leaders and get rid of their "hosts", move on to other victims and continue to climb the management pole. Graduates were managing projects. It was pathetic. All the clever people either left or were "rightsized" and those who remain are corrupt. The engineering work that comes out of AECOM is substandard. A significant number of AECOM engineers were not even members of Engineers Australia or CPEng yet lied on their CVs that they were. Pity the clients who pay big bucks for recycled and plagiarised garbage.
