Pros

About 6 years ago, I would have said career development, learning opportunities, decent benefits, but in 2012, the only "perk" is being able to work remotely.

Cons

EVERYTHING. AECOM you had some terrific people and talent. You failed to realize that your most important asset (the "thing" that makes your money) is your PEOPLE. Your annoying weekly (sometimes daily) emails about how great you are truly is just "fluff". You really aren't great. At AECOM, if you have a VP after your name, you are NEVER punished for your mistakes, simply a wave of the finger and told "that wasn't very good, don't do it again". If you are the "worker bee" and you make a mistake, all hell breaks loose and you'll be sure to get the wrath of senior management (saw some people get fired for little things, where a senior manager fumbled a multi-million dollar deal and got a wave of the finger). You overwork your employees giving the cost of living increase of 1-2% and also calling it a great "performance increase". MEANWHILE your senior managers are seeing EXTREMELY LARGE bonuses ON TOP OF 9-12% raises. Why don't you ask the people who are managed by these people what they think their managers deserve?? Seriously AECOM you are losing and I'm glad to be at my new company, where PEOPLE are actually treated like PEOPLE and talent is rewarded.

Pros

Decent company, good stock plan, good people who want to see you grow

Cons

Very remote management makes things hard, very little team work is locally siloed so its hard for managers to understand the boots on the ground view. Managers are great people but spread very thin, sometimes they accept work before having staff for it(classic consulting move)
