Pros
For some reason the review would not allow me to Recommend the CEO, but I do - I thoroughly enjoy working at Embrace. Have been with them for 2 1/2 years. Management really care about their clients and their staff. I highly recommend working here if offered a job. I love working with the clients I support - it is a pleasure, not an effort. Great pay, long term employment opportunities, understanding bosses who work around their staff availability and bend over backwards for their clients - I've seen it often! Always make their staff feel appreciated and valued. Get to work with various clients so you have variety in your work life, whilst building a rapport with each regular client. This company is honestly the best company I've ever worked for. Love their approach and management style. Being a family business, they are personable and understand and genuinely care about your family as well, accommodating your work hours around your family and personal commitments.
The former employee who wrote the previous negative review needs to take accountability for their actions. If you sat around doing nothing, you weren't doing your job supporting clients and you were ripping off Embrace! There is always something to do with each and every client we are requested to support. Use your initiative to do what obviously needs doing and don’t expect your boss to spoon feed you. If you don't want casual employment, then why apply at a company that is offering casual employment & casual pay rates? Read your employment agreement more carefully too. Mine was very detailed and they do advise the SCHCADS Award details and even put excerpts in the agreement as well as the link to the SCHCADS Award for you to refer to. Read the client files properly - all Embrace files provide the client's details on their support needs and medical conditions. I've always been provided full information on each client before I go on shift with them. As a current and very content & loyal employee at Embrace I actually think it is very unjust that ex-employees are permitted to leave negative reviews on companies that are running an honest and genuine business, caring for people with disabilities and meeting their needs in every way possible. Just because the former employee did not meet the high standards that a good company holds in order to provide the best quality support to those in need, doesn’t give them the right to defame a good company. In my opinion, the ones leaving the negative reviews about Embrace Disability Support Services, need to take responsibility for their lack of fulfilling their duties, instead of writing negative reviews on Embrace. These people are just plain rude and dishonest in what they say. Perhaps there needs to be the opportunity for employers to leave reviews on past employees so that other companies can see a live work reference before hiring staff? Seems only fair, when it is permitted in reverse and ex-employees can leave reviews on their previous employer, telling untruths about their employment, because they are sour that they did not meet the clients' expectations and blame the company for what they themselves are lacking in their skill set.
Cons
I honestly have nothing that I'm not happy about so I commented on the previous review instead (above).
