I was hired and then manager kept telling me I’m ‘not chatty like you were in your interview’, making me feel awkward because I’m not the life of the party, and constantly singled me out and berated me for being ‘late’ (apparently 5 minutes early is late) and forced me to come in 10 minutes early for every shift or I would be considered late, where other colleagues came in at normal time and weren’t challenged. It seems if your face doesn’t fit then you’re ostracised until you leave. Boring soulless work.

Underhanded practises mentioned on previous post, hit the nail on the head there! (you can also see they have been on a bit of a run with their current employees leaving positive reviews, presumably to better their image) Often unprofessional, toxic atmosphere between groups. Blatant displays of nepotism and favouritism. I have no doubt those same people are behind their recent spate of reviews on here. Incompetent staff are rewarded with progression because of their social circle. Lack of respect from management to staff. Questionable targets. Aggressive communications. No competitive salary. No prospects of decent salary progression. Not a place for professionals with ambition. No job fulfilment. A very depressing place to work. Eldon likes to promote its cultures and values but my personal experience particularly within the last 6 months was one of disrespect from managers, a general lack of empathy, toxic cliques, high work rate with little reward. On the outside presents itself as an up and coming, professional insurance provider however it is rotten at the core.
