I have been working at Dropbox full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You're treated as a person, not a number.

As they say, Their core values are used as a compass, not a hammer.

If you have a advanced skillset, you can apply it to an upcoming project, this place wants you to do what you can.

There is always something cool happening in the office!
The Tuckshop is literally Michelin star cooking

    James and Piotr in Dropstop.

The Work culture, everyone is excited to step out of their comfort zone, everyone does their work and helps up lift anybody struggling, the environment is so uplifting.

I could go on and on..best place I've work and eager to grow there.

The perks are some of the best I have ever seen across any industy.

    Cons

If I was to nitpick, Could use Dyson dryers in the bathrooms

    Advice to Management

Continue engaging with Dropboxers as you do, you guys do a terrific job engaging with the needs of staff.

I worked at Dropbox full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Good Benefits
    -Smart and friendly teammates
    -Food

    Cons

-There is zero investment in career and personal development. No mentorship program, no rotations, almost no trainings/education programs, no coaching program etc.
-Culture is not mature and stabilized. One single role change in the director or manager level completely changes that team's structure and culture.
-You have to be close friends with management otherwise you are clearly being excluded. Managers behave differently to people who become close friends with them. It reflects to performance reviews and in time this situation starts to become a type of discrimination.
-Product is nice but it doesn't have a competitive advantage against the other cloud storage solutions like Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, iCloud. So it doesn't feel like there is a bright future for the next 10 years.
-HR is still very insufficient to create an equal opportunity environment and a stabilized culture that is built on trust.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your
    1) culture
    2) career&personal development programs
    3) director level managers (this is very important to set an equal opportunity culture)

I worked at Dropbox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great benefits
    - Flexible (working from home)
-Very nice and smart people to work with
    - Great product

    Cons

    - no career path
    - some managers have no experience and less knowledge than employees and is very difficult to cooperate with such people e.g. nasty comments, texting employees over weekends and evenings
    - there is no chance for you unless you become friends with management. This kind of friendships are being taken to extreme that at some point regular employees feels excluded
    - micromanagement
    - too many contractors
    - lack of training
    - management behaves like in playschool

    Advice to Management

Hire experienced managers with people skills and develop HR department so issues can be spotted

I have been working at Dropbox full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The culture at Dropbox is warm and inclusive, with real honesty and an open attitude. It's also a very customer focused environment, with the user at the heart of everything we do.

    Cons

Decision making can be a challenge when everyone has an equal say.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be visible in all your offices

I have been working at Dropbox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The opportunities to do new, different and interesting things while making a difference to the bottom line. The company and offices have a great vibe of fun and inclusiveness. The benefits are also amazing, especially the food in SF and Dublin.

    Cons

Quick growth mean things change a lot (which can be an issue sometimes) and some foundational work has yet to be done.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing mostly but constantly make sure the ship is heading in the right direction. Also, maybe save some $ and cut the silly swag.

Honestly the best people, it still amazes me how Dropbox managed to hire people that are absolutely incredible at what they do while being genuinely good people

    Cons

Few formal growth opportunities, poor management in some teams

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Dropbox full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As a former consultant, I've worked to many companies. None of them were half as good as Dropbox.
Dropbox offers many incredible perks (free food worth Michelin star, gym, events, smartphone and phone plan, etc), but what makes it amazing place to work is:
    - the people - Dropbox hires the best profiles and puts the stress on values: being humble, team player, ambitious but caring, interesting, from diverse backgrounds, etc.
    - impact - no one will care if you're an intern or the CEO as long as you have a great idea. At Dropbox, you can change the world if you want to!

    Cons

It's a company with a fast paced environment, with a start up vibe.
If you're into this, then what are you waiting for?

    Advice to Management

    No advice.
