High turnover and variation in experience depending on what team you're in

Pros

Some incredibly hard-working colleagues Company strives towards making a difference and effecting change in a traditionally dated industry which can be motivating, some opportunities to push yourself beyond your boundaries which is what you want in a startup.

Cons

A lot of existing tech debt that needed fixing before the software could be developed further. There's been a large number of leavers due to senior management, yet it appears as though this is being attributed to their individual failures in the environment vs the wider systemic problems that remain and drove them to look elsewhere. A past culture of blaming, nepotism, and disregard for company feedback still lingers in some aspects, with a recurring theme of badmouthing those who are seen to be negative in any way. The team you're in dictates whether you will be managed well or poorly, with no management training or structure in place .

Interesting mission, unhealthy environment

Pros

The company has hired a lot of good profiles, and they come to the company eager to make a change. Colleagues are really hard-working and persistent, especially junior profiles that are being hired. Overall, the company has a great goal and the industry is more open for a change, which adds up to expectations that clients and employees might have from the company.

Cons

- overall inexperienced management - it might seem that the company craves new ideas and dialogue, but it's impossible to have a seat at a table for any decision - communication is not so open and friendly as it might seem, you might be labeled as negative for any disagreement. it just becomes too stressful and tiring to communicate basic things, SM people reach out to employees to correct their emojis in a message, literally - long-term employees are unhappy, unmotivated and drained - there's no space for growing and advancing your career - strong bro culture in all levels of management
