Pros

I have currently been an intern at CyberIAM for 11 Months as a Junior Identity Developer. Prior to joining, i have had 3 years Java Development experience, but no real expectation as to what the ICT Security World is all about. Besides the vital training courses, business trips, arcade machines (for entertainment) and partner events that is covered, CyberIAM provides the opportunity to prove yourself and gain a vast amount of knowledge in the IT Security Sector. The people working at CyberIAM are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make sure you understand the task given - This is sometimes 1 - 2 h after hours or during their lunch breaks. The fun and humor each and everyone of it's employees give off, definitely enlightens your day. I hope i am given the opportunity to work at CyberIAM permanently as this is a definitely a great company and an awesome place to learn about Identity World.

Cons

The distance from the 2 offices, as there is nothing like Face to Face communication between colleagues.

Pros

Nice colleagues. Not much else.

Cons

I career changed to technology. I have previously worked for some very tough and demanding senior people. However, I have never experienced an owner/ manager of a business that is as poor as at Cyberiam. The worse possible place to start a career in technology. I strongly advise you to be incredibly careful before moving home or buying transport in order to work at CyberIAM. 1/ Totally inaccurate job description given to junior developers joining the firm. This is not java development. It is is configuration of one pre-existing product. Something they simply don't explain at interview. 2/ Hiring junior staff and COMPLETELY ignoring them in terms of training and feedback. Training involves watching videos all day. There is no feedback. It is an alien concept. 3/I pushed for an appointment to get feedback. Owner was available but decided to make me wait 3 days. In that meeting, the owner had 'no reservations' at all. 3 weeks later, he did a total about-face and fired. My persistence in requesting feedback was a reason for being let go. What kind of lunacy is this? They fired me for asking for feedback. Feedback i needed so i could go ahead with a car purchase in order to be able to get to work. 4/ No experienced colleague working on configuring the same product so you are simply left with online training videos/ find your own solutions.

This employee is a disgruntled ex-employee, dismissed before the end of their 6 month probation, this is not a true reflection of the working environment of CyberIAM Holdings Limited. Please look at the other reviews for a more accurate representation of our organisation. It would not be appropriate for us to discuss on this forum why this person was dismissed before the end of his probation period.
