Pros

What Dr. Comb has built is nothing short of miracle. Smart, talented and dedicated people working together to create one of the best research products on the market. Possible not directly, but you are helping to fight the most deadliest disease on the face of the earth. "Out of this world" benefits package, that does not exist anymore anywhere else.

Cons

However, what is going on in some of the departments and IT in particular it's devastating. You can call it "growth pains", you can call it "long overdue changes", but the truth of the matter is it's not normal, it's anything but normal. Work place bullying, harassment, backstabbing, and favoritism do very much exist and it's painful to watch how smart, loyal and hard working employees are FORCED OUT by toxic work environment created for them by "manager's favorites". HR simply "closes their eyes" and tolerates a very bad behavior pretending that nothing really happens. How many more good people will have to "jump ship" for them to understand that there is a problem, an extremely serious problem.

Pros

Healthcare is the only thing going for it

Cons

Management only promotes favorites and those who party with them after hours. Career is based on popularity and not knowledge or work ethic. HR is a joke, they blame everyone but the managers and turn things against the employee. You are penalized for reporting incidents. I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to work here.

Pros

Outstanding Benefits Package More or less competitive pay Convenient location Somewhat Interesting work.

Cons

It was painful and heartbreaking to see what CST turned into during the last 7 years me being there. Once a fantastic and amazing place to work quickly turned into a nightmare all because of wrong and unqualified people were brought into "power". An entire management layer has been stuffed from director's "favorite puppets" and most of the time it's individuals without necessary people's skills, past experience or adequate training to become a manager. To justify their existence and to raise their ego they micro-managing, bullying and harassing their subordinates. When evidence of bullying brought to the attention of the Human Resources, HR always defendants manager's side and the behavior is tolerated as nothing out of the ordinary. Everyone talks "garbage" behind everyone's back and unfortunately, it becomes part of the "new" CST culture.
