Pros

The colleagues I work with are the best!

Cons

Company has changed a lot with new management and C-level since mid 2022. They don’t care about people anymore, only thing important is making money, as much as possible. It’s their way or no way, regardless of who you are, any history, collateral damage, your personal interests or ambitions. They don’t listen.

Pros

There are many really good people in the company. The mendix consultants are all really nice and knowledgeable. They run a lot of activities to make it a fun place to work. It's very progressive and inclusive.

Cons

The company say culture and values matter but they seem end where the balance sheet starts. It looks like the strategy jumps about a lot as people get bought in then fired or asked to leave quite quickly when the goals shift. I'd advise you get some clauses in your contract about what they are responsible for if they sack you cos I saw several people blindsided after joining with high hopes.

Pros

There is a wealth of Mendix knowledge available. Colleagues are eager to help, but this is not the credit of CLEVR, but rather the goodwill of the colleagues. You can learn a lot from them, which is very valuable. In your first year, you get a company car, which you cannot choose. After one year, you are allowed to choose a car. The budget depends on your job level, of course. It's 750, 850, or 1150. For 750, there are few choices nowadays, and you may have to contribute extra, making it quite expensive. Additionally, you can only choose from hybrid or electric cars. The fuel or charging card is very well arranged. You are also allowed to work from home a lot. Clients do not make a fuss about it. The clients are nice as well. However, I must say that few clients have been acquired in 2023 and 2024. This means it’s difficult to place you as a junior consultant with a client. There are many ethnicities and nationalities working there, and everyone gets along well. So, if this is important to you, you’ll be in a safe environment at CLEVR.

Cons

If you are indispensable and receive offers from other companies, CLEVR is willing to increase your salary competitively. Otherwise, they won’t. Every year, your name is entered into an Excel file, and a raise is calculated from there. It will not be more than 100-200 per year, unless you get a promotion, but otherwise, there is no room for negotiation. And believe me. 100 is not much. Your contract also includes a non-compete clause. Try to have it removed, as CLEVR often makes a big issue of it if you decide to leave.
