Pros

- Work from home - Good Software

Cons

- Management is outright verbally abusive to most employees, unless you warm yourself up to one couple in particular - Misses paying employees for sometimes weeks at a time - Micromanaging to the extreme - Super hard to get time off, despite having "Unlimited Vacation Days" - One manager mandated overtime, making whole production team stay well into the night - "HR" is a joke and feeds info to management and will gaslight employees who have concerns, look out for the line "I'm personally hurt that you would etc etc"

Pros

The original vision was good and inspiring.

Cons

Being considered "just a number" here would be considered a luxury, rather rather the scum you're actually treated like. Unlimited leave - but you can't take it. Very average wages - that you won't get paid. A suite of products that aren't ready or simply don't exist. Just a bunch of "leaders" on a power trip.

Pros

Remote-first culture supports work-life balance.

Cons

This company shows a fundamental lack of understanding and respect for software and software engineers, which is ironic for a company whose entire reason for existence centers around software. I have seen much better treatment from non-software-based companies. To AbleDocs, software teams are seen more as a necessary step in bringing ideas to life, rather than an integral component of the service itself. Software projects are considered to be "done" when released and to not require active support. Apparently, their vision was that software products could be maintained almost entirely by non-developers. Team members often wondered why they had been hired as developers at all, considering that the leadership ultimately seemed to want to kludge together pre-built tools rather than build their own product. And as other reviews have mentioned, this company does not follow labour laws, and does not follow through on many of the benefits that they advertise. Be warned.
