This is a list collected, filtered, and edited/augmented from a list of reviews about Allegro Wireless which is the former company of ABC Dev's founder. The reviews, for the most of them, resonated with me, and expressed quite well my own experience. Here we go: Extremely high workload with unreasonable deadlines: you have to be quiet and work from 9:00AM to 6:30PM and are, implicitly, expected to work overtime every single day. Virtually non-existing development processes where no one even knows the exact requirements of tasks. Questions are answered with some vague directives sprinkled over a lot of ranting, yelling, and sarcasm. Hence the extreme workload. Besides, since getting a simple answer is virtually impossible, you will be blamed, demeaned, and reprimanded, literally like a child, for anything that goes wrong. And you are expected to recognize "your" mistake and apologize in a very explicit manner, very often publicly. You are hired and told to feel safe at the company because they never fire people unless they have a bad attitude, that is people who won't accept non-sense, will fight back, and will refuse to apologize for what is not their mistake in the first place! Management changes their mind and direction constantly and keeps on complaining about how the company is loosing money hand over fist, as if it were you fault. Most employees fear the management, their irascible and ego-maniacal nature, and the childish temper tantrums. So feedback, even you chance giving it, is difficult to get across. Prepare to be micromanaged on an intimate level (they even counted the number of times I went to the bathroom per day!) This list is not exhaustive!
