So much wasted potential!

Pros

- There are some amazing people at 11:FS who really know what they're doing. - Salaries appear to be competitive. - Lots of people are trying to do the right thing.

Cons

- It seems the majority of the leadership are out of their depth, no-one more so than the CEO. There are clearly favourites who should no longer be with the business and so, more often than not, decision are made by people who don't know what they're doing and refuse to listen to those who do. - To underline some other reviews I've read - SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS ARE TONE DEAF and are all too often posted by a CEO who says one thing publicly and behaves very differently internally. His constant references to the importance of people and culture is not evidenced by the way he acts when running the business. - It appears from the outside that no-one dare argue with the CEO for fear of being fired. 2 recent senior departures (who were well liked in the business) has only led to that belief being strengthened. - Morale is at an all time low and many of the best people will leave before long, and it's already started to happen.

Thank you for the candid feedback. We’re sorry that you’ve felt our social media posts haven’t struck the right note - our senior team is always trying to find a balance between celebrating the successes we’ve worked hard to achieve while being sensitive to colleagues going through a tough time. Obviously, there’s more work to do here so thank you for highlighting this. The decisions we had to make due to the pandemic were unexpected, difficult and weren’t personal towards the people we let go. We’ll keep trying to improve, and your review will help us to do that. - The People Team

So much potential wasted because of egos and politics

Pros

Credit where credit’s due, over the years 11FS have assembled some brilliant people and brilliant teams. The experience of people who have been there and built great products/businesses is/was truly unique in an industry of other consultancies that were all talk no action. We were/are in a privileged position to work on genuinely market changing propositions. And in its hayday the media team had a genuine and refreshing voice amongst the FinTech echo chamber.

Cons

Many of the opportunity 11FS has have been squandered due to exec in-fighting and politics. Huge egos and sense of entitlement means that 11FS interests were consistently put above those of its clients and customers. The culture was toxic and more value placed on you wearing the merch than living the values. The most important thing I learnt at 11FS was what time of company I didn’t want to work in and what type of leader I didn’t want to be.

Pros

Some really great colleagues Good location

Cons

When I joined the company was small but promising, there was a lot of enthusiasm, some great projects and some good buzz around the business. In the past year this has all changed. Bad management, dodgy hires and a cocky, out of touch CEO has turned this place in to a toxic cult. First of all there is the RAMPANT favouritism. Inexperienced staff have been catapulted to senior management positions simply because they are yes men/women. This has caused countless issues within the wider team and the CEO has just ignored and fired those who question him. Furloughs and redundancies were expected but the way it was handled was shocking. People were let go because they weren't liked by their managers. That is a fact. It had nothing to do with whose role was 'needed' it was favouritism. The process was messy and badly handled by HR and every single exec involved. Just know that if they survive this and you get a job offer in the future - remember how they handled loyal staff of 3+ years - they WILL do this to you too. There are hundreds of better startups and consultancies out there, don't waste your time here it's a sinking ship.
