The Role

TCS seek an Office Developer who will be responsible for the customisation and development of solutions within Microsoft Office Products and supporting any previously created solutions.
Microsoft Excel (VBA), SharePoint on prem and Access are the key products that are supported. You should have strong knowledge in business & trading applications, with experience in collaborating with designers and back-end developers to optimize applications for performance and responsiveness.

Your responsibilities:

• To be able to fulfil all responsibilities found in designing, developing, and customizing applications and solutions within the Microsoft Office tech stack such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint on Prem, and Outlook.
• These developers will work with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) add-ins and other technologies to create customised functionalities and automate processes within Office applications.
• Responsible for the customisation and development of solutions within Microsoft Office Products and to support any previously created solutions. Microsoft Excel (VBA), SharePoint on prem and Access are the key products that are supported.
• Import/Export data to/from SQL databases, Oracle Database, SharePoint on prem, XML files, word documents, and outlook.
• Ability to work with complicated SQL scripts and previous experience in SQL databases.
• Fix any defects associated with these custom-built MS Office Solutions
• Carry out ad-hoc or routine tasks that are required to keep these MS Office solutions running
• To implement changes or releases to these solutions that are agreed with the customer
• To ensure that Excel Spreadsheets develop conform to IT Governances Spreadsheet Management Policy

Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• IT Qualification - Degree or equivalent with minimum 15 years of experience in VBA, Microsoft tech stack such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint on Prem, and Outlook.
• Experience in Software Development and Agile Methodologies.
• Experience developing on SharePoint
• Experience developing in VBA and Excel Macros.
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevSecOps platforms.
• Experience in Cloud Technologies and Platforms e.g. Azure
• Experience in secure software design and software security best practice.
• Experience in incident, change management and transition processes
• Reporting, documentation/writing.
• Excellent Organisational skills.
• Experience with a wide range of IT environments, platforms and applications.

• Desirable to have previous experience in Energy Trading or working in a similar utility.
• Minium 12 years of technical experience in Microsoft tech stack including VBA, Excel, PowerPoint & Sharepoint.
• Strong business knowledge in trading applications.
• Strong communication skill & stakeholder management.
