Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their own homes in the Alton area.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well being and independence of clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity are maintained at all times. Experience in dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, or senior care is highly desirable, but all training is provided and you will shadow a seniour member of staff before starting. Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to promote independence.
• Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines and protocols.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety at all times.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, maintaining safe driving practices.
• Manage behaviour effectively using appropriate techniques for clients with dementia or behavioural challenges.

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care.
• Relevant certifications such as first aid are advantageous, but all training is provided.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience.
• Valid driving licence for transportation duties if applicable.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends as needed.
