I applied online. I interviewed at iConnections in May 2024
Interview
The interview process was five stages. Recruiter screen, interview with hiring manager, team interview, interview with COO and then a third party panel interview.
The process was slow, with a full week between follow ups. The COO was 20 minutes late to my interview and barely asked any questions about my professional background.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you had to solve a problem without any guidance
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at iConnections (São Paulo, São Paulo) in Mar 2025
Interview
An Engineering Manager contacted me and we scheduled a call which included another Software Engineer of the company.
The interview was great, we had a lot of things in common and I really felt it "clicked". The product is nice, the team and the environment felt very welcoming and friendly. I was willing to cut my salary in almost half because the opportunity looked really great. They even mentioned they had opened 17 roles at that same day for many experience levels. During the whole call the environment was very friendly, most of my experience seemed positive to what they were looking and a lot of things I've built in the past seemed to be resembled with their experience as well.
Unfortunately, a week after the chat I've heard back from the Engineering Manager saying that they would not move forward because they didn't felt I could "hit the ground running" and join the team in the pace they had at that moment. That was a real bummer, being such a vague feedback, especially considering they hadn't proposed any technical challenge or anything else to test my skills. I asked "why" he felt like I couldn't keep up with their speed and, obviously, I and haven't heard back. They just assumed I would not be able to do so.

Question 1
Can you tell one of the most challenging projects you've worked on?
Waste of time. I honestly dodged a bullet not working for them. Their COO and CEO were very of putting. COO was clearly disinterested in what I had to say and was visibly looking at her phone and not listening as I spoke with her. She even asked a question about something that I had already mentioned prior. I understand she might be busy but this was blatant disrespect.
The CEO was 30 minutes late and took the meeting from his car. The rest of the interview consisted of him telling me how tough it would be to work for him. After a couple weeks, I was told that they were going to hire someone offsite in India.
