Interviewed for a Digital Marketing Manager role. The process consisted of an initial recruiter screen, followed by a fairly substantial case study assignment, and then a scheduled final interview with the hiring manager.
On the day of the final interview, I received notice that the role had been closed and all remaining interviews were cancelled. While I understand that business priorities can change, it's disappointing to ask candidates to invest significant time into an assignment and progress them to the final stage before determining that the position will no longer be filled.
The people I interacted with were professional throughout the process, but candidates should be aware that the role was ultimately closed after substantial time had already been invested.

Question 1
Recruiter just asked about my background then immediately gave me an at-home assessment to do - it was extensive. Should have seen the red flags from there.
