I applied online. I interviewed at eBay in Jul 2019
Interview
Was invited to interview via email and provided a list of times I was available. After providing a list of times, I had to follow up to get something scheduled. The recruiter selected a time for a phone interview, and I confirmed. The recruiter then failed to call at the given time. I sent an email, then another, then another. I was completely ghosted and devalued as a human being.
The communication appeared unprofessional and unfocused, and it did not reflect the kind of environment where I would want to invest my time or expertise. the people there did not seem friendly
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at eBay (London, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview process was fairly straightforward. Initial call with a recruiter, followed by an interview with the hiring manager and then 3 additional hour interviews with leadership. There was definitely some confusion between the interview scheduler and one or two of the interviewers. No crazy curveball questions. Took a few weeks to hear back on the final answer and I had to follow up quite a few times asking for the decision which was frustrating.
