I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Zillow (Seattle, WA) in May 2022
Interview
It was a good process. First a recruiter reached out to me (I didn’t apply) explaining the job requirements and she asked some product questions and took notes . I then had the first round with a hiring manager which lasted for an hour . 3 days later I was told that I was selected for a loop interview rounds which consisted of 5 interviews in total .
My interviews went really well and I was expecting a positive outcome .
I got a response within a day that I was not selected and got a note that “your background and experience doesn't align with what we need for our business at this time.”
The only thing I would say is while the experience was positive and I spent a whole day by taking a leave from my current job , I would have expected a more clearer feedback on the gaps and why I was not selected , be it product or be it behavioural aspect . It was very disappointing.

Met with the hiring manager about the role for 45 minutes. They gave background on both the company and role and asked basic questions about my background as it related to the open position. I also did a quick 15 minute call with the recruiter. Overall fine experience but they already had a candidate late in the process who they ended up extending an offer to.
