I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp in Sept 2014
Interview
I applied online to be an account executive. I heard back within a week or two. I then had a phone interview where the recruiter got a better idea of my background and if I would make a good fit for the role. She described the job and let me know what day to day processes would be like. I was then scheduled for an in person interview. The in person interview consisted of three one on one interviews. This part of the interview I did not like at all. They asked situational questions and then I felt extremely talked down to when the situational call wasn't exactly what they wanted. Instead of learning from the mistake I made in the first situational call (which could have been easily corrected), I was immediately switched to another interviewer. This made the interview seem more like a tryout rather than an interview. They also asked cliche interview questions that didn't help them get to know me at all, but rather just made the interview process extremely tedious, boring, and didn't make me interested in the job whatsoever. They asked questions like "What's a goal I set that I didn't think I could achieve?", "What's one product I can't live without and why?", "What's a challenging situation you've overcome?"...questions like this.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Wake Forest, NC)
Interview
Very professional, informative, and timely interview process. I was very impressed with how well put together the entire process was and how fast things moved. Everyone on the hiring team was extremely punctual and even willing to take extra time to make sure all your questions are answered.

What is a recent piece of feedback you were given and how did you implement it
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
