I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2014
Interview
Initial phone call is easy, they want a feel for who you are. After that you have an hour long skype interview where you meet with 4 account managers, they do role play and ask a lot of behavioral questions. Make sure you ask a lot of questions during the role play, and take their feedback and use it.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
