I was scheduled for an on site "interview". When I arrived I was immediately given an assessment test to complete which felt an awful lot like they were trying to get free HR advice. They wanted me to create a scoring rubric for reviewing applicant resumes for a position I knew little about. They wanted me to create a power point presentation on workforce development on the spot. They also asked a lot about my process for on boarding and interviewing. As a professional these are not things I develop on the spot without doing my own due diligence and research. I would not create a scoring rubric for a position until I interviewed incumbents and their supervisors to see what skills or behaviors are desired. When I completed the assessment the "interview" was complete. I was never asked any questions or given the opportunity to engage in a discussion about the position. Two weeks later I received an employment denial. This entire process was unprofessional and a waste of my time. I had to take a day off of work to go in for an assessment test which could have very easily been completed online.
