I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Maricopa, AZ) in Jan 2014
Interview
simple 10 minute interview with HR over the phone answering questions mostly pertaining to hours (full time gets only 36 & no overtime) and wage is set, No negotiations and have to agree or they will move on to next candidate. Also made sure I could work at specific shift hours & if needed graveyard to help stock shelves.
Pretty easy. A lot of information up front that's hard to retain but everything you need to find is online. Pretty much always ends with an offer. Just be cool.
Online application and skill assessment, followed by an in person interview with a team lead. Assessment was a little vaguely worded at times, but it all seems like common sense if you've worked customer facing roles before.
Efficient interview process. Quick and easy interview. Hiring manager was approachable and easy to talk to. I was asked about my experience to determine if I would be a good fit.
