      Interview

Application Submission: The first step in the process is to submit an application online through the Walmart careers website or in person at a Walmart store. Applicants typically provide their personal information, work history, education, and any relevant skills or qualifications. Initial Screening: After receiving applications, Walmart's hiring team conducts an initial screening to review candidates' qualifications and suitability for the position. This may involve assessing the applicant's work experience, skills, and availability. Assessment Tests: Depending on the position, candidates may be required to take assessment tests, such as personality assessments, aptitude tests, or skills assessments. These tests help Walmart evaluate candidates' compatibility with the job requirements and company culture. Phone Interview: Qualified candidates may be invited to participate in a phone interview with a Walmart recruiter or hiring manager. The phone interview typically covers basic information about the candidate's background, work experience, skills, and availability. In-Person Interview(s): Candidates who pass the initial screening and phone interview may be invited for one or more in-person interviews. These interviews may involve meeting with hiring managers, department supervisors, or other team members. The interviews may focus on behavioral questions, situational scenarios, and technical skills relevant to the position. Background Check and Drug Screening: As a standard part of the hiring process, Walmart conducts background checks and drug screenings on potential employees. This is to ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Job Offer: If a candidate successfully completes all stages of the interview process and passes the background check and drug screening, Walmart may extend a job offer. The offer typically includes details about the position, compensation, benefits, and any other relevant terms of employment. Onboarding: Once an offer is accepted, new hires undergo an onboarding process, which may include orientation sessions, training modules, and paperwork completion. This process familiarizes employees with Walmart's policies, procedures, and expectations, preparing them for success in their new role.

Tell me about yourself. Why do you want to work at Walmart? What do you know about Walmart's values and culture? How do you handle difficult customers or situations? Can you describe a time when you had to work as part of a team to accomplish a goal? How do you prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively? Describe a situation where you had to resolve a conflict with a coworker or customer. What relevant experience do you have for this position? How do you stay motivated during busy or challenging times? What do you think sets you apart from other candidates applying for this position? Interview

Met with the store manager and current People Manager to discuss the job and my qualifications. Started as a "formal" interview with canned questions. Quickly became an informal interview to discuss my skills and requirements of the job. Very nice people!
