      Senior Product Manager Interview

      12 Mar 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Bengaluru) in Feb 2019

      Interview

At first, I was approached by a Recruiter on LinkedIn for Walmart International Team, post that the same Recruiter had a phone conversation and said will setup a Initial Phone Screening and sent a mail. I accepted and it got changed to a different date. Finally someone from Product Team, took the first round and asked questions about the product I worked in the current company and how also asked few questions about Prioritization etc., After this Initial phone screen the HR team said that there would be a day long rounds ( Presentation, Product (2 or 3) Technical & HR Round) in the office and scheduled Interview for 1 full day along with a Case study. They specified to solve that and come prepared with the presentation. It was fine till then, and I prepared for that and exactly 2 days before I received an email saying, panel availability is not there for that day after scheduling the day long Interview and post that I had followed up multiple times, to let me know the date and time when it would be conducted. They hardly respond, even if they do they say will get back to you and never come back. I wonder how good their Recruitment Team is and hardly concerned about the candidates. I never thought a company like Walmart would have a such a pathetic team of Recruiters.

      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (Sunnyvale, CA)

      Interview

Didn't even speak to a recruiter, my first interview scheduled was a 45 minute Product interview with the Hiring Manager. It was very product focused (not so much Walmart), with a product case. I felt underprepared which is why I didn't advance to the next round though if I had done more product related interview casing practice, I might have moved to additional rounds.
