I applied through other source. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Allen, TX) in Nov 2013
Interview
I applied to this Victoria's Secret after not getting the job in the town I'm going to school at. I applied for seasonal (and hopefully will be able to come back for summer).
I called and specifically asked for the hiring manager, and was able to speak with her. I wanted to talk with her and make a small impression on her and make sure she knew I was serious about working during the holiday! I was able to print out the application and fax it to them in a few days. I called again a week later to make sure my application went through and to check the status, and she (the same manager) told me she hadn't set up any interviews yet but would let me know when they did. I was fortunately coming home an upcoming weekend and I let her know I would be more than happy to do a phone interview or come in that weekend I was home. I got a call on the Wednesday before I was coming home, and had a group interview set up that Friday.
I showed up about 10 minutes early and waited about 15 minutes until I was approached by the operations manager and the store manager. It was me and one other girl, and we were taken across the street to sit outside on a patio.
The store manager first just told us a little about the store and what they were looking for in terms of positions, and she told us a little about her experience and the operations managers experience. We were then asked to tell us a little about ourselves, to which I just briefly talked about going to school and being a graphic design manager and wanted to come home to work for the holiday.
We were then asked the following questions (in no order):
1. What's the first thing you notice when you walk into a store?
2. Have you ever had to take on a task/project and not had enough time to complete it? What did you do?
3. Have you ever had any issues with anyone you've worked with?
4. Have you ever been in a situation where one managers tells you to do something and another manager tells you something different, and how did you handle it?
5. What would you do in the situation of internal theft?
I think there were a couple of other questions, too.
For the most part the interview was very relaxed, we were able to have a few little side conversations. During the interview, the store manager told us she isn't usually the one to do the interviews and when she does she is picky. She explained in one group interview she had 6 girls and only 1 made it! She basically explained she is looking for bubbly and smiley people who will be bring positivity and provide good customer service.
*They will call references, so put good ones down!

Question 1
Have you ever had to take on a task/project and not had enough time to complete it? What did you do?
The interview process was friendly and professional. They are looking for bubbly energetic personalities to bring to their team. My advice would be to look presentable and bring your fun self to the interview. Retail is all about making someone feel seen and heard and making a friend

Interview
It was super easy and if you haven't done retail before they still give you a chance. They ask each person different questions, one was why do you want to work here
Applied online and got a phone call to set up an interview. It was a group interview. I was asked some behavioral questions and was asked for specific examples from my previous jobs.
