      Senior Business Analyst Interview

      15 Feb 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verisk (London, England) in Feb 2024

      Interview

1st stage is a HR screening, very welcoming and more to run through the role to ensure you're on the same page. 2nd stage is a lot more difficult. Broken up into 2 parts. First was a role play exercise where you're given a brief and 15 minutes to prepare. The situation covers a company wanting to take out your software. What kind of questions should you be asking this client? Second part was stand interview process. Typical question and answers.

      Senior Business Analyst Interview

      20 Sept 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Verisk (New York, NY)

      Interview

(Beware - read ending!) Behavioral and skills based interview, simple questions. Just review basic concepts ahead of interview. Recruiter reached out to me afterwards asking what my desired salary was, emailed and called me, without extending actual offer. I said I was open to negotiation. They would not stop asking so I gave a conservative range according to salaries found online. Shortly after I was ghosted and they would not answer any emails or calls. Did not even let me know if I was rejected or anything. Negative experience, unprofessional, wasted my time. Verisk seems to look for candidates with lowest possible salary expectations without negotiation.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

You are walking around the city and a client asks you how many floors a building has. You don't have a device to check Google or anything. What do you do?
