      Director Interview

      10 Jan 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Los Angeles, CA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at VRAI (Los Angeles, CA)

      Interview

I applied on line and HR reached out to me for an interview. The scheduled interview was a video call with the CEO, she did not show up. I reached out to HR to let her know and the interview was rescheduled. The second attempt the CEO was 15 minutes late. The call was brief, she read over my resume and didn't really ask me any questions, more stated that it seemed I was qualified and could do the job. She asked if I would accept $XX for the role and I said yes. The following day I received the written offer... which was 20% lower than the verbal one. After 2 weeks of back and forth and being told I was never verbally offered the original $ amount, I did in fact end up getting the amount I was originally offered verbally. The whole process was a huge red flag, but it was a time I needed the job - had I not have really needed work I would have walked away.
