Disappointing Experience with Interview and Offer Process
I had a very frustrating experience with Toro Steel Building's hiring process that I feel is important to share.
After interviewing for a sales role, I was offered the position during my in-person meeting with leadership. I was transparent about having other offers and was told to notify the team of my decision by the end of the week. I followed through, declined other opportunities, and contacted them on the agreed date to accept the offer.
From that point forward, communication broke down completely. Despite multiple follow-ups over several days, I received no formal paperwork and eventually learned—indirectly—that the company had moved on with other candidates. No explanation was provided, despite my repeated outreach.
This kind of behavior—extending an offer and then going silent—is not only unprofessional but also incredibly disruptive to candidates who are making serious career decisions. If this is reflective of the company’s internal communication or leadership practices, I would urge future applicants to proceed with caution.
Job seekers deserve transparency and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
