I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tintri
Interview
The interviewees were all polite and generally seemed to know the areas they specialized in. But the interview process was in one word: horrible. For an intern position, I had to give four phone interviews over a span of more than two months starting from end of january, 2017. The HR was responsive early on on in the interview process. But from mid of it, I had to send 4 or even more mails over a span of multiple weeks to get a single reply. Also some of the replies I got via mail were contradictory to each other. I still have not got the results of the interviews I gave. It is plain rude not to give a result after going through such a ling interview process (just inform that i was rejected if the company is not interested). (I got other offers during march last week and moved on). This company should seriously hire better HR or whoever is responsible for coordinating the intern recruitment process. Out of the 8+ companies I interviewed for this season, this was easily the worst interview process!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
2 sum problem (different versions: normal unoptimized, time efficient, space efficient).
Generally questions were easy.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tintri in Jan 2017
Interview
My phone screen interview was scheduled. I was ready and excited for this interview but they postponed it to the next day. Next day, I was expecting a call on the scheduled time. But I did not get the call on time. I was about to write an email and ask them regarding the status of call and suddenly I got a call from the interviewer. Interviewer was 23 minutes late. After that, we started the phone screen. The interviewer sounded uninterested from the beginning. I was asked to write a code. I wrote the code and I was making some minor changes but the interviewer suddenly told me that my code won't work. I explained him my logic twice and and told him that my code should work. I tried to prove my point by compiling it but the interviewer did not allow me to compile the code. Instead he moved to next question. I felt that it was kind of rude. I requested the interviewer again but the interviewer started asking me other questions. When I was answering the questions, the interviewer was not at all interested. He sounded bored. With this attitude, he asked me a couple of questions and I answered those questions. After 40 minutes, he told me that he was done asking questions and tried to end the interview abruptly. Then he suddenly realized his mistake and asked me if I had any question about the company. I asked him one question. He answered it vaguely. In the end, I was told that they will get back to me soon. Overall, very bad experience. Interviewing skills of the interviewer were poor. The interviewer did not try to explore my full potential. After 1 week, I got a reject mail from Tintri.

Interview
Interview process is decent. I had two rounds, one is a technical/coding round with a Senior member. Second round is with a Director, its all about design, data structures and few brainstorming questions. Its a pretty cool company to work. Lots of perks.. And fun stuff too...... :)
