I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tim Hortons (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2023
Interview
Discussed past experience, available hours, food preparation and safety certification. Met the interviewer as well as the manager and site owner. This was for an entry level cashier position. I was told that there is a 2 month probationary period which would also include the on the job training time
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do you have any past experience in the food industry?
It was a very easy process. In general, it was a lot of behavioral questions which made the interview feel very stress free. I personally felt that it was more like a conversation which made it very easy to sit through and answer.
Good. they asked good questions. for example. Why would you like to work here. what do you like about tim hortons. do you like our coffee. do you know what a double double is.
It was a pretty relaxed and straightforward interview. The interviewer mainly asked about my past work experience, customer service skills, and availability. They also explained the job responsibilities and what a typical shift would look like.
