I dealt initially with a contractor hiring person from Accolo - he was extremely helpful and communicative. The interview consisted of a phone interview where we discussed white papers published by the research group. Next I had a nearly full day on-site interview. I met with 3-4 members of the group I would be working with. I was asked a number of brain teaser questions (black/white marbles in a jar type of questions) and I was asked to do several skills tests, algebra, a QA detail checking type task, and several coding (R/matlab/sql) tests.
