I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Garden Grove, CA) in Jan 2014
Interview
I applied online. The online application asks you basic stuff in addition to questions where it asks you how you would respond to certain situations. If you do it correctly, someone from Home Depot will call you and ask you some follow up questions about past experiences/qualifications. If you pass that, they'll call you in for an interview, which was fairly easy. They give you basic interview questions and scenarios. Overall, I think it's pretty easy to get hired.

Interview
The interview process was a friendly and professional experience overall. The managers are nice and accommodating to students at least at this location as I was a current student at Oregon state university and needed to work around a college schedule.
