My experience was mixed. The initial rounds, including the recruiter discussion and the first interview with a PM, were well-structured, relevant to the role, and engaging. The conversations focused on delivery, Agile practices, and real-world scenarios, which felt aligned with the position.
However, the final round with an Engineering Lead was unclear in terms of structure and expectations. The interview was scheduled for 1 hour but ended in about 30 minutes without explanation. The interviewer did not introduce himself or provide context on the format or evaluation criteria.
At the start, I asked how to address his name, and the response was that it didn’t matter, which set a dismissive tone. During the conversation, the interviewer mentioned that he did not have experience in product or project management, which made it difficult to understand how the evaluation aligned with the role.
The interview also included interruptions, including attending another call mid-conversation, which affected the flow. The questions did not seem aligned with the earlier rounds or clearly connected to the role expectations. When I provided answers based on practical delivery experience, they were dismissed without follow-up or clarification, making it difficult to engage meaningfully.
Overall, the inconsistency between rounds and lack of clarity in the final interview made the experience confusing.
