I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Hayward, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
For both my first and second round interviews, I got there on time, but was told to wait for an additional hour due to being behind schedule. For my second round interview, my interviewer wasn't even at the store until 30 minutes after I got there.
They asked a lot of behavioral questions and a lot of questions about how I could contribute to Target. It seemed that they cared less about qualifications and more about how "I love Target."
Short, quick, personable and exciting so you can't gauge how they feel. That said, very easy and fast process, does not require much preparation, just make sure you can pitch yourself well.
There was a total of three rounds. First was phone screening with recruiter, second was with a manager and third was with a panel of mangers at the distribution center.

Interview
The initial step was a phone screening, where I learned a lot more about the company and position. I didn't proceed to the next round but the people I spoke with were very friendly.
