Print & Pattern Design Internship Interview

      24 Nov 2010
      Anonymous employee
      Minneapolis, MN
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2010

      Interview

Target interview process is super lengthy. I initially had a phone interview that lasted about an hour, and then proceeded to take a 2-3 hour personality/math/reading test. This test resembles the SAT and you will come out of it thinking that you are super stupid. It is HARD. Maybe that's because I'm a designer... but.. I was not confident after. The personality test reuses a lot of questions so make sure that you're consistent. You are asked a LOT of situational behavioral questions in the interview. You have to be quick on your feet and know how to answer such questions. You need to know how to BS and how to sell yourself. Also--it helps if you like to talk and have great charisma.
