I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Nov 2014
Interview
There were a total of three interviews, one phone interview which lasted about 5-10 minutes, another at a target store with a store team leader, and finally with a district manager. The phone interview was very short and consisted of basic questions such as tell me about yourself and tell me about a time you made a mistake. They mainly ask behavioral based questions and use the star method (situation, task, analysis, result). Be sure to hit every one of these points and be clear and organized in your answers.
They are looking for people with leadership qualities and someone who can work/communicate well with others. Show them you are a team player.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you did something that had a great impact.
Short, quick, personable and exciting so you can't gauge how they feel. That said, very easy and fast process, does not require much preparation, just make sure you can pitch yourself well.
There was a total of three rounds. First was phone screening with recruiter, second was with a manager and third was with a panel of mangers at the distribution center.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2025
Interview
The initial step was a phone screening, where I learned a lot more about the company and position. I didn't proceed to the next round but the people I spoke with were very friendly.
