      Softlines - Sales Floor Interview

      17 Oct 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Little Rock, AR
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Little Rock, AR) in Oct 2014

      Interview

I completed an online application through indeed.com website and got a call back the next day. I was offered an interview for Softline position and I happily agreed to come in the next day. I arrived on time and was ushered to a computer station where I did a brief assessment and then was walked back to the break room where I waited until I was called for my first interview. I was asked about my past employment positions and how they related to the position I was applying for. I was asked what was something that I accomplished that exceeded someone else's expectations. I was asked to name a time I had a project where I accomplished a goal. I was asked what would an employer have to say about my strengths in my past job position. What would an employer say about my weaknesses in my past job position. If a customer brings an item to the register that is 19.99 and says they saw it priced in the back at 17.99 What would I do?

      Sales Floor/Softlines Interview

      15 Mar 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target in Mar 2016

      Interview

First I completed an online application not even thinking I would get a call back being that I've applied in the past and heard nothing. (East Point, Georgia location) I received a call yesterday(March 14, 2016) and completed an over the phone interview with a HR rep named Natasha. Was informed that the position I originally applied for(Cashier) wasn't available but Sales Floor/Softlines and another position was available can't recall which one it was, so I had the choice between the two. I passed the phone interview and was then asked did I want to schedule an in person interview. Sure why not... Went in about 15 minutes ahead of my interview time and waited for about a good 15-20 minutes for my interviewer to come out (Andre)... He apologized for his lateness which was no problem being that I was early anyway so it was no biggie. He informed of the duties for the position and all it entailed as well as the hour but unfortunately for them I received a call from FedEx the day before and I accepted that position ahead of this interview. But he actually was impressed with answers to all of the questions he asked and he said he would tey to get me put in for another position that comes in early before the store even opens. The hours are slime to none right now about 15-20 a week no discussion as for as the pay goes. But the early shift such as 4am gets paid more than the Sales Floor/Softlines members.
