I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Mar 2012
Interview
The interview focused on the "STAR" method - Situation, Task, Action, Result. They actually take notes in this format so it's important to follow. Although this is important, Target focuses on a specific personality as well--cheerful, happy, generally type A. An interest in retail is important and knowing that retail is a mix of "art and science" is big. Also, showing interest in MInneapolis would be important

For the internship, the process was extremely simple. A lot of the questions were behavioral based, so make sure you have concrete and specific examples so the recruiter can learn more about your management and learning styles. After the first round interview you will be asked to complete a basic assessment of math, logical, and verbal questions, and then a second round of more behavior questions will be conducted. The whole process in itself takes about 2 weeks, and I got an offer only a couple of days after my second round interview.

Question 1
Overall, I felt that the process was fairly simple. Just be sure to be concise.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Jul 2014
Interview
The interview process consisted of personality tests, experience test, basic business knowledge exam, a couple interviews (phone and in person). The entire process was long and challenging, but worth it for a company like Target Corporation. The harder the interview process, the better the company tends to be.
