      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN)

      Interview

Target is known for behavioral interviews. If you pass the phone screening, the recruiter will ask you to come in for in-person interviews. During this phase, you will interview with approximately 4-6 interviewers for 30 minutes each. The interviewers will range from VP to Group Manager, HR level. During the behavioral interview questions, they will look for you to provide 1) the situation, 2) the behaviors or process that you went through to resolve the situation, and 3) the outcome (whether positive or negative). Special Note: If you are interviewing for a role that will supervise others, you will be asked to take a Leadership Assessment which takes approximately 5 hours to complete. You will do the computer based personality and cognitive portions on your own computer (3-4 hours) and when you come in for your in-person interviews, they will set up an 1 - 1.5 hours for you to do a simulation of a specific scenario. You should receive feedback within 2 weeks on a decision. If you are offered the position and accept, you will have 24 hours to take the drug test.

Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a situation that was not well received?

      Interview

Impersonal and time-intensive interview process Review I interviewed for a project manager role in contingent workforce. I invested about five hours across multiple rounds. Despite reaching late stages, I received only an automated rejection email. There was no feedback or direct communication, which felt cold after the significant time invested. For an organization of Target’s scale, I expected a more personal and thoughtful conclusion, especially after progressing so far. Time is valuable for both parties, and a simple personal follow-up would have made a difference. Advice to Management If candidates are making a significant time investment, provide personal feedback or direct closure. Even brief personalized responses will improve the candidate experience.

The process was short for me i had 1 phone interview and was told i would get a call back and never did. They never called back after several reach outs. Finally i was told via email they were moving forward with someone else.

      Interview

The process was lengthy. It involved multiple levels of the HR department. Ultimately, they let me know they didn't actually have the position open that I wanted anymore but would offer me a similar, but 'lower', position.
