I applied online. I interviewed at Target (South Plainfield, NJ) in Mar 2018
Interview
Was interviewed by Human Resources, then 2 Management personnel. They were pleasant and professional. I felt like I was being asked to become part of a family, more than just a job. I was asked typical employment questions about past jobs, but also given some personality profile questions. I was a little uncomfortable with that process, as the answers were multiple choice, and sometimes what I felt to be the correct answer didn't fit perfectly into the answer schemata. All in all, it was an in-depth, fluid process and I was offered a job, which I enjoy (though it's hard work, but that's to be expected).
In person interview with manager and assistant manager. They each asked a handful of questions about availability and dealing with customers. Follow up was timely but I didn't want the job
easy interview, behavioral questions mainly, taiolered around customer service. Also how you would work a register. It was brief, maybe 10 minutes. But I suppose it depends on the interviewee
I applied online for a seasonal Retail Sales Associate role at Target, completed one in-person interview focused on customer service and availability, and then waited for a hiring decision. I would research the company's values and how you can align with that.
