      Executive Store Intern Interview

      16 Mar 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      College Park, MD
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (College Park, MD) in Feb 2012

      Interview

The interview process started with a brief personality test that was sent to me via e-mail when they confirmed my phone interview slot. They asked for me to fill this out prior to my phone screen. The phone screen from the HR recruiter happened about a week after the initial contact. She asked basic behavioral questions such as "Tell me about a time when you took on a leadership role" or "Tell me about a time when you had to deal with confrontation". Very basic questions. Target seeks for leadership capabilities and asks questions to highlight those skills. I was then asked to meet with the District Manager who asked me a lot of the same behavioral questions but also more about my future plans etc. This is where they really wanted to see a passion to grow with Target. Everyone during the interview process was very nice which made the process enjoyable.
