Was given a time for a Zoom Web Conference meeting. They note it is crucial to be in the meeting 5 minutes before the meeting time. I was in the meeting 8 minutes before the meeting just to be sure, and my Zoom had bugged out. 4 minutes later after I was able to get in, I get a message from them stating "they found another candidate".
Very unprofessional method of interviewing and the 4 minute right before the meeting late notice of "found another candidate" was top notch astonishing. I had already prepped for the interview and was excited to work with Syscon. Sounds like I, and possibly anyone in the future, may have dodged a bullet.
Take the advice of other colleagues seriously, this place may be hiding shady practices despite its opportunities.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Syscon (South Bend, IN) in Jan 2016
Interview
4 rounds, HR, Senior Engineer, CTO, Developer Group; each asked different questions, so pretty cool experience, small company, got some water and cakes, enjoyable, lasted for like 4 hours. Everything is pretty cool. I would recommend a friend.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Syscon (Hinsdale, IL) in Nov 2013
Interview
Normal, but had to meet with the entire staff in one of their weekly technical meetings. Cathy acted really nice, but she was putting on a show. I received an offer in my email from Cathy after the tech meeting that met my request.
