I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sun Life (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2018
Interview
Sat down with manager and talked through typical questions on interpersonal skills.
Low technical difficulty on understanding of products.
Mostly behavioural questions to see if you would work well with the existing team and on your own since it's an entrepreneurial job
interview wasn't too bad it was very straight forward. went through my resume and asked me some questions. just like any other job interview. so long as you know what youre getting into you should be fine.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
they asked me how i would respond to an objection from a customer
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sun Life in Mar 2010
Interview
I honestly thought my interviewer hated me and was very surprised when they asked me to continue the interview process. I interviewed for a Sales Associate position and when he asked me how my friends would describe me (a crappy question in itself), he looked like he wanted to kill me when I said I was easy-going and polite. A nearly direct quote: "That's not what I look for in Sales People." Chilling. I snapped into super professional, extra ambitious mode and he seemed to like that better... easy enough. The next step for me was completion of a 9 PAGE questionnaire. 9 PAGES of repeated questions and cryptic personality-related questions. Yikes. I'm still waiting to hear back about a second round. Cross your fingers for me!
