The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Stryker in Feb 2010
Interview
I sent my resume to the company, received an email from a recruiter within a week. Set up a phone interview and took Personality test. The phone interview was a behavioral interview but not really. The directions were to answer yes or no to the following questions, and in some cases elaborate if necessary. I think I didn't get to the next round either because I didn't give enough specific examples when asked to elaborate, or there was someone more qualified but it would be hard to know since there were no technical questions. For example one of the questions was "would you describe yourself as helpful and then elaborate". I was never in the position where I thought it was even necessary to relate to work experience because it seemed like I was taking the personality test all over again. They are extremely picky I feel because I thought that I did well but that's how it goes sometimes.
I applied online. I interviewed at Stryker (Limerick, Limerick)
Interview
It was very simple, they asked me to schedule a date and then they called me by Skype. The recruiter told me they had already filled the vacancy but she asked me to tell about my previous experience just for us to have a proper interview.
Behavioral phone interview followed by in-person general interview. Behavioral interview over the phone is intense and requires preparation of anecdotes to be used in multiple scenarios to demonstrate positive qualities. In-person interview would depend on interviewer.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Stryker (Phoenix, AZ) in Feb 2021
Interview
(All virtual process)
Overall this was a lengthy, but not too difficult, process. They’re really trying to make sure you fit the company culture and can grow in your career. Everyone I spoke to was really nice and very open to answering questions. At the end of the day, to be successful with this interview process, be yourself and accentuate your best qualities.
1. Phone screening with the recruiter as well some questions that are typically asked in a “Gallup” interview. The recruiter is looking for a fit with the company culture as well as the manager’s team.
2. Meeting with Hiring Manager to determine if you have the technical experience as well as the ability to learn and expand your knowledge. Also looking for team fit.
3. Gallup Interview
4. Final interview: 5 interviews (30 to 45 minutes each) with the hiring manager and HR, teammates, and cross-functional team members. Structured questions developed by HR and the hiring manager and mainly behavioral. Technical questions pertain directly to the job to see if you have knowledge of certain topics and processes.
After this I received a verbal offer 3 days later.
